THE IMPORTANCE OF A TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
In this Audio Faculty Spotlight webisode, Earl Hoback takes us on a whirlwind tour through just a few of his responsibilities as the front-of-house engineer for the Blue Man Group, Orlando. Hoback began his own career as a performer, but found his passion in the world of audio technology and graduated from Full Sail University with an A.S. in Recording Arts at age 19. With extensive experience in the digital media industry, from recording and mixing to designing sound systems and controlling them in live shows, Hoback knows what he’s talking about when he says that anyone looking to become a sound engineer needs strong technical expertise in order to excel.
BUILDING A SOLID FOUNDATION
At F.I.R.S.T.
