F.I.R.S.T. INSTITUTE REVIEWS
Chris Rhatigan is a graduate of the Digital Filmmaking and Video Production program here at F.I.R.S.T. Institute. When he arrived, he was adamant that his goal was to learn how to shoot music videos. After completing his time in the program, his best piece of advice is to keep an open mind. There are all kinds of projects out there, and the most interesting might not be the ones you expect!
The hands-on training and one-on-one attention from staff were some of the best features of the program for Chris — it wasn’t just a line that was fed to get people through the door. The attention and dedication toward student success on behalf of the staff was genuine. Now, Chris is making a name for himself in the industry through a variety of video projects.
As a graduate of the Digital Filmmaking and Video Production program, Scott Christianson feels that the difference between a teacher straight out of college and an experienced film professional is huge, and one of the best things about the staff who are responsible for training our film school students. His time at F.I.R.S.T. Institute gave Scott the tools and information needed to approach his work with a blend of expertise, high standards, and enthusiasm! Scott’s advice to students and professionals alike is to keep pushing and striving to reach your goals, set high standards for yourself, and you’ll see great results.
Luis Martinez filmed his testimonial while he was still a student at F.I.R.S.T. Institute in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production. Through a photo shoot project, Luis met and worked with Latin hip-hop artist Alex Fatt and will be working as his videographer for an upcoming international tour. Thanks to the focus on video and film production, from scripting and shooting to editing, that characterizes our film school curriculum, Luis is making his dreams come true!
A graduate of both the Recording Arts and Show Production and Digital Filmmaking and Video Production programs, Joshua Gales wants current and future students to know that dedication is the name of the game, and with hard work you can all achieve success. Working as an Audio & Video Tech, Joshua is building a career for himself at the MLG (Major League Gaming) Convention alongside the likes of ESPN.
Michael Aguiar, a graduate of the Digital Filmmaking and Video Production program, has used the education and training he received to take his short film, “The Laughing Mask” into development to become a full-length film.
