Our F.I.R.S.T. graduating class of 2020 recently walked the stage to receive their diplomas and start on their path in the digital media industry! Before we said goodbye, we asked some of our students about their time at F.I.R.S.T. and their plans for the future. Check it out!
February 2020 Graduation Interviews
Cristian Omar Jiminez
Cristian liked working with other students that were interested in the same line of work he was. He said that every student was from a different background and each brought a unique perspective to the program.
Jesse Hutchings
Jesse thoughts it was refreshing to have personable and professional instructors. He felt that it was easy to relate to his teachers, which is something that you can’t always get at a larger university.
Richland Beckley
Richland liked the hands-on nature of the learning. Working with high-grade equipment made him feel like a professional every day on campus.
Charity Rhoney
Charity thought that F.I.R.S.T. fostered a strong sense of community among the students. The instructors were there every step of the way to help her grasp the concepts she struggled with.
Brooke Gibbs
Brooke thought that networking with others who were interested in the same career path she was, was vital to the value and fun she found at F.I.R.S.T.
The Future of the Students
Our students have a variety of jobs lined up for them immediately after graduating. Owen Doll is moving to Detroit to work a job in live sound. Charity will record audiobooks, with a long-term goal of starting her own studio. Brooke is working freelance in show production (front of house engineering). And Cristian currently works as a videographer and editor for the University of Florida!
