Fundamentals Of Audio And MIDI
In this course, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about sounds, digital audio, music production and fundamentals of the MAC OS. You’ll quickly move into one of the primary tools of the audio industry, DAW, also called Digital Audio Workstation. During this part of the course, you’ll learn the industry average workstation, Pro Tools 12. Through exercises and hands-on-learning, you’ll begin to master digital audio editing, routing, effects processing, mixing, audio production and critical listening skills. You’ll then begin learning another vital music industry tool, Logic Pro X. All of these essential skills you’ll need to learn for the music business.
Recording Arts
In our recording arts course, you’ll begin being introduced to industry standard equipment and techniques like analog consoles, patch base, signal flow, outboard processors, maintenance and audio recording. During the course, students get to work on several projects, such as a podcast, radio commercial and recording sessions with a solo artist and full band. Students will get to work as a team and deliver a final product to a real world client.
Sound For Visual Media
Sounds for video games, television and the internet is one of the most exciting industries to be in right now. Audio professionals need to understand how post audio production works. Students will learn how to work a control surface and how to record dialogue or ADR, as well as the fundamentals of sound design and surround sound mixing. You’ll get to apply your new skills to your course project, which involves the post audio production of a film scene, video game or television spot. Students will also get to design and implement sounds for video games.
Advanced Audio
Mastering is the final stage in any production before the master is sent off for commercial release and it’s a critical skill in audio production. Students will jump in using the industry standard tools and techniques. You’ll get to learn how to put the final touches on a mix using EQ, compression, limited and other techniques. By the end of the course, students will have what they need to master all of the media for their classroom production projects and demo reel.
Show Production
Live sound is one of the most exciting and interesting aspects of the entertainment industry.There’s more jobs in live sound and show production that any other area of the audio industry. Students will learn about setting up and using sound systems. As the course proceeds, students will set up sound systems, use stage blocks and create monitor front-of-house mixes. They will take what they learn to run 3 live events focusing on AV and full band setups. Furthermore, students will design a real live sound system and will design an audio visual setup to showcase their they understand components and signal flow. Students will also learn trouble shooting and maintenance. You’ll also get to learn stage and tour management, coupled with live sound reenforcement and audio visual production.

Career Development
It’s vital that students learn career development so they’ll know how to get entry level jobs in the music business, audio industry and recording arts. Student Internship
