John Eberts – Director of Career Services
John Eberts is a Miami-born entertainment professional with over 22 years of experience in live events, pop culture programming, and production. Raised in Miami, John began his career in the mid-1990s rave scene, producing underground events while simultaneously launching a graphics and printing company and a pop culture–inspired clothing line, blending creative design with nightlife culture early on.
John spent six years at F.I.R.S.T. Institute, where he worked in Admissions and later served as Director of Admissions, developing leadership. Building on his passion for live entertainment, John founded Moshi Moshi Productions, a full-service event and production company specializing in pop culture, conventions, nightlife, and corporate experiences. Through Moshi Moshi Productions, he has traveled the world producing events for Walker Stalker Con (The Walking Dead) and Heroes & Villains (The CW Network), handling AV and stage production, talent coordination, and hosting official afterparties at each show.
John has produced and curated celebrity signing events across Florida, and is best known for producing 17 annual official MegaCon afterparties. His event planning and production work extends to major conventions including Star Wars Celebration, Florida Supercon, Tampa Bay Comic Con, Spooky Empire, and many others. Beyond conventions, John has produced official events and year-round entertainment for Meliá Hotels, as well as corporate AV production for SeaWorld, and his favorite… The F.I.R.S.T Institute Luau and Speakeasy company parties.
