Earl Hoback

Director of Education

Earl has worked in the Digital Media industry as an audio engineer, musician, and instrument technician for over 10 years. He has recorded and mixed indie rock groups as well as reinforced them in a live sound environment. Hoback has helped fabricate the audio systems for several theme parks, including the Rip Ride Rocket for Universal Studios Orlando Resort. He also has been the front of house engineer and musical instrument technician for Blue Man Group Orlando since 2007. Most recently he assisted with Blue Man’s appearance at the Latin Grammy’s in Las Vegas. Hoback graduated from Full Sail with an AS in Recording Arts at the age of 19.

Michelle Hill

Program Director of Film and Video Production

Michelle has worked in the professional Film, Video, and Digital Media industries as a Project and Production Manager for over 17 years. During her tenure, she has managed film and television projects for clients such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Nickelodeon, as well as a plethora of commercial clients. While working within the industry, Hill developed a passion for education and the passing on of knowledge to the next generation. She has spent well over 8 years educating students in the areas of new business development and presentation as it pertains to the entertainment industry. Hill graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Film Production with an emphasis in Business.

Omar Torres

Instructor - Film and Video Production

Omar Torres has worked in the film business as a Director/Cinematographer/Editor for over 5 years. During his career, he has directed/edited commercials for clients such as Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, and Orange County Library. He has also done a ton of cinematography for documentaries, promotional videos, and web commercials for which he has received four A.V.A. (Audio Visual Arts) awards for his cinematography and editing. Torres says teaching at F.I.R.S.T. is his dream job because it allows him to combine his passions for film-making and education. Torres is a graduate of Full Sail University with a B.S. in Film Production.

Isaac Needleman

Instructor - Film and Video Production

Isaac has more than 13 years of video productions experience. He started his career in the video broadcast world when he joined the military in 2000 as a journalist. Isaac spent ten years in the Navy covering stories such as "Operation Iraqi Freedom", the devastated shores of Indonesia in 2004, and "Operation Enduring Freedom". He's an experienced broadcast journalist who has been around the world with his camera telling the stories of the brave men and women that served this country. In 2011 he put up his sea bag and moved to Hollywood, CA to become a filmmaker. Isaac spent two years in Hollywood making short films, commercials, and music videos. His passion for cinematography, story and directing shows in his work. In 2014, Isaac came back to Florida, his home state, and now teaches. His passion for film and video productions is demonstrated in his teaching and he loves nothing more than to see that same passion in his students.

Brian Pitts

Instructor - Film and Video Production

Brian Pitts has worked in the video production industry for over 7 years. He began working with Seminole Productions broadcasting live sports events, including the FSU football team. He later worked in broadcast news as a News Producer at WMBB News 13, in Panama City, while also assisting in the commercial and promotions departments. He enjoys broadening his horizons and has done everything from State Director for the 2012, "Get Out The Vote," Mitt Romney presidential campaign, to shooting and editing a paranormal documentary, "Dead Air," featuring the man from acclaimed TV series, "Ghost Hunters International." He loves being at F.I.R.S.T. to help train the next generation of emerging filmmakers. Pitts is a graduate of Florida State University with a B.A. in Media Production and Film Studies.
